Join Mile High Swappers and Slow Food Boulder County Saturday, August 12th for a summer themed swap from 12:30-2:00pm at Ollin Farms.
Bring your tasty treats to the farm and in honor of the Slow Food Boulder County partnership, we ask that you include one local ingredient in your swap items (anything from farm and home-grown produce and fruit to heritage grain flour and more). A summer swap is the perfect time to share the wonderful bounty of the season!
Food swaps are a great way to share amazing homemade food and drinks while having an excellent time with like-minded people in our community. It’s fun and easy – come to the event with five or more portions of your amazing home created goods that you are prepared to part with – they can be all the same thing or a mix. The only rule concerning what you bring to swap is that it must be a home made or home grown food or drink. If it’s organic, gluten-free, vegan, low-sugar etc. that’s great – just make sure you label it accordingly so you can easily find like-dieting people to swap with.
Samples of your goodies are definitely welcome – as are extra treats to share with the group.
We are thrilled to host the swap at Ollin Farms, where they emphasize regenerative agriculture, top quality farm products, and community. All of their produce is grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides and they have been providing Boulder County with nutrient-dense produce since 2007. Come early to shop their farm stand!
